kicking fandom’s ass since 2000

I’m torn on this one. On one hand, it’s really pretty and parts are kind of hot. On the other hand, the story is nothing I want to write to you all about in gushing terms. It’s just kind of so-so. One of the hardest parts about writing reviews, is trying to find words when something is just mediocre. Words are easy to come by when I love a release or when I want to warn you away from one, but when I don’t feel much of anything about a release, writing a review starts to feel like a book report. I always hated writing book reports.
So, this is a BL twist on a ghost story. Yuuya is caught between Kyosuke, a former classmate who is now a ghost, and Katsuki, a childhood friend who on top of wanting to get into Yuuya’s pants and has the ability to be possessed by ghosts. Kyosuke wants Yuuya, but being a ghost, he can’t touch him. Then Kyosuke takes over Katsuki and finds out that he can touch Yuuya. This equals much happiness for our ghostly friend.
Katsuki doesn’t care for being possessed, doesn’t care for Yuuya being friends with Kyosuke and is just all around cranky with the situation. Poor Yuuya. He’s getting molested every time he turns around. This is what makes the story slightly hot. What detracts from the hotness is the lack of character development and the fact that I really don’t care about the characters motivations.
This is one where I would just skim through the pages where there was a semblance of a plot to get to the smut scenes. There’s a definite market for a release like this, but it’s not quite my cup of tea.
