Just My Luck

Rating: ♦♦♦♦♦

I thought I would be sick of school-boy/teacher stories by now. Thankfully, I’m not.

We have Asahi who has a horrible case of bad luck. The boy can barely walk without tripping over his own two feet. The only thing that keeps his bad luck at bay are kisses from his advisor, Rokujou-sensei. Rokujou is the advisor of the school’s divination club. Asahi is slightly jealous when Rokujou wants to open the club up to new members. He wants to be the only one who receives Rokujou’s purifying kisses.

Add in a story about a toy-maker who falls for his android helper and a story about a school nurse with a uniform fetish, and you’ve got an endearing release that makes me all kinds of happy.

Other releases by this author have made me slightly cranky with the way that some of the characters were drawn. I just really don’t like characters who are drawn looking very young. Either I’m getting over it or this book didn’t trigger that in me. Either way I’m just happy to have this book in my collection. It’s happy, sweet and truly endearing.

As always, BLU does a spectacular job with their releases. This is going to be one of the last crop of releases that is going to be sans a full-color insert. It seems that BLU is going to be raising the price of their releases, but improving the quality.

I can’t find anything to complain about. I want my releases to be of as high quality as possible. Let’s hope they can keep up the quality of the content as well as the quality of the publishing.
