A Strange and Mystifying Story 1
Rating: ♦♦♦♦
I know this artist from somewhere. I just can’t put my finger on where I know her from. This is bothering me because this manga was so good that I want to gobble up other things by her.
Now, why is this artist making me so happy? First off, I like paranormal stories. Ghost, vampires, witches and werewolves all make me grin. Hell, I get tired of the mundane world. I’m looking for escapism here! So, when the first story starts off with a young man summoning a spirit out of a family heirloom to help him break a curse, I knew I was going to be in for a treat.
This spirit is able to suck the curse out of our hero’s body, but doing so turns him on, so there’s some happy sex every time that hero-boy needs some healing. It’s not all sex. Our poor demon isn’t just around for that. He’s lonely and serving the family amuses him. Now, he’s just got to work his wiles to stay in the human world and to keep the object of his affection ready and willing.
Then, there’s the story set in feudal Japan. I don’t know why, but I have this incredible lust for boys in traditional garb. Throw in some angst and I’m hooked. Really, this was a very satisfying read. I haven’t felt this happy after finishing a manga in a very long time.
